The integration of logistics solutions with WMS or ERP systems differ from project to project. Choices highly depend on possibilities, current functionalities and the wishes and requirements of the customer.
Information systems can have a quick payback time if they are able to provide real-time data. Unfortunately, in daily practice we see that the generation of current and accurate data is not always possible. The existing systems are often not prepared to integrate Voice and RF scanning techniques in a flexible way or at acceptable costs. The gap between the existing systems and the work floor therefore continues to exist.
The starting point at Xtend is to create a 100% connection with the warehouse floor. We do this using ARROW; our software platform dedicated for logistics.
To be able to offer the right solution, we first analyse the process in the workplace. During this analysis we also make an estimate of the present functionalities and the adjustments that may have to be made in the existing information systems. We try to use as much existing business logic as possible. Missing functions can be added flexibly and quickly with the Arrow platform. The Arrow solution can be offered either as a cloud solution or on-premise.
An overview of the modules:
Full integration with existing (administrative) systems.
WMS (Warehouse Management System)
The WMS module is a software tool for the managing the stock and the activities in a warehouse. The WMS offers support for goods reception, storage, picking and shipping (see also 'Arrow warehouse management')
WCS (Warehouse Control System)
The WCS module has been developed for smart control of the automated and mechanized processes and machines in your warehouse. This module provides control of, for example, roller conveyors, box closers, scales, printers, elevators, etc.
With the Voice module it becomes possible to use Voice technology in, for example, the order picking process. The module provides control of the voice dialogs and the hardware.
The RF scanning module makes it possible to use the Arrow platform on a hand terminal. For example, the processes reception, move, count, add and order picking can be controlled.
This module provides control of machines, platform lifts, paternosters, warehouse cranes, mini-load systems and various order picking solutions.
The module is used for controlling label printers. For example, shipping and barcode labels can be developed customer specific.
This module gives you real-time insight into the progress of the users' process on the work floor. If required, we can develop tailor-made reporting.
